A book that is valuable at any point in an entrepreneur's life, but invaluable at the beginning! This book helped me understand and articulate what I was experiencing and feeling as I started my company. O'Laughlin constantly reminds you of the importance of talking with family and friends, and your own mental health. This is a survival guide of sorts, helping you to think through your emotions, reactions and interactions with colleagues, investors, co-founders, etc. A quote I always keep in mind is, "It's the build phase that catches many entrepreneurs by surprise - after so much excitement, they're shocked at how mundane it all is." The book is a good reminder that you aren't alone in what you are going through when starting a company and encourages you to keep going.
