COVID-19 Health and Safety Policy

Updated 1/26/2022

The health and safety of our Event attendees are a top priority. With the risk of COVID-19 still present, we will be abiding by safety protocols to protect the health and safety of Event attendees, speakers, and volunteers. This policy details the health and safety protocols that all Event attendees, speakers and volunteers will be expected to adhere to in order to participate in the Event. These protocols include full vaccination against COVID-19, health checks, proof of vaccination and ID upon arrival at the Event, and proper wearing of a face covering/mask at all times, except when eating/drinking or presenting on stage. .

Our policies related to COVID-19 are subject to change based on the evolving nature of the pandemic and in accordance with mandates put in place by the hotels/venues hosting our Event, New York City, and the State of New York, as applicable. We reserve the right to modify these policies and procedures at any time given the rapidly changing nature of the current global pandemic.

Vaccination Requirement
‍All Event attendees, speakers, and attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. "Fully vaccinated" means that at least 14 days have passed since receiving either (i) any single-dose COVID-19 vaccine series that is authorized or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or listed for emergency use by World Health Organization (WHO) or (ii) any combination of two doses of an FDA approved/authorized or WHO emergency use listed COVID-19 two-dose series with at least 17 days between doses. Attendees will be required to provide CDC-or WHO-approved proof of vaccination status upon arrival at the Event.

Health Checks Upon Arrival
All Event attendees, speakers, and staff must complete a series of basic health checks upon arrival at the Event.

Mask Requirement
Well-fitting and properly worn face coverings must be worn at the Event at all times except when actively eating or drinking or presenting on stage at a safe distance from other speakers and the audience. Masks must cover both the mouth and nose. We ask that participants honor the requests of others to mask up and/or maintain physical distancing.

Waiver of Liability
Given the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, these health and safety policies implemented by the Event organizers cannot eliminate the risk that you are exposed to, contract, or spread COVID-19 while attending the Event. By registering and/or attending the Event, you (i) are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present and (ii) release and forever discharge and hold harmless Women in Sports and Events, Inc. ("WISE"), its employees, volunteers, directors, agents, and affiliated entities (the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, and demands which the attendee or any of its heirs, assigns, next of kin or legal representatives may have which arise from the exposure, transmission, or spread of COVID-19 as a result of the attendee's participation in and/or attendance at the Event.

Continued Planning
WISE is continuing to develop onsite protocols for seating, meals, and other logistics during the Event. More information will be posted, as available, on this page as the Event approaches.
