[The author] just hit it in black and white. you think a lot about what you've read in a book and feel, "Oh my god, she's right." I keep going through the book thinking we all knew this but hadn't seen it printed anywhere in one "go to" spot. It was sort of a lightbulb going off in my head [that] she''s absolutely right, we have to do that, the fact is troubling.
