Join WISE Twin Cities on Tuesday, March 15, for an exciting Power Play Panel and networking event, featuring the women of Version1 esports. Version1, Minnesota’s-own professional esports organization founded in 2019 by the Wilf family and investor and entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk. Version1 will lead us through a dynamic panel discussion curated especially for the esports newcomer! You’ll hear the perspective of Version1 leadership who are helping to guide the growth of the esports industry, and players and creators who have built a personal brand and made a career in gaming.
Minnesota has been represented on the world stage of sports and entertainment. The Twin Cities hosted the 2019 Men’s Final Four, the Super Bowl LII, the MLB All Star Game and soon, the 2022 NCAA Women’s Final Four and the 2022 MLS All Star. Now, there’s another industry blossoming in our region that is demanding attention: esports. Our region is home to an impressive professional esports scene, a number of renowned collegiate esports programs and an avid community of fans passionate about gaming. As esports grows, it brings new opportunities -- for people at all levels of their career; for venues and destinations eager to host events; and for brands and organizations invested in innovative marketing and consumer engagement.
This WISE Power Play panel event is a national WISE Signature Program, hosted in March in celebration of Women’s History Month. The series brings together executive-level female sports business leaders for a panel discussion surrounding the industry and career journeys. WISE Twin Cities continues to host this program annually, with past panels featuring the 2019 NCAA Men’s Final Four LOC, the X Games, the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx.

Version1 is located inside the Viking Lakes Innovation Center on the Viking Lakes campus in Eagan. Our entrance is on the west side of the building. There’s a free parking ramp attached to our building. Attendees should look for the roundabout to find our entrance; the door has a Version1 logo above it.
