These featured sessions will tackle issues impacting women and give attendees practical strategies that can be implemented in the workplace.
REAL Power: Owning Yours
Sallie Krawcheck, former Wall Street powerhouse turned entrepreneur, will offer up a new set of rules for professional success, which is the basis of her best-selling book, Own It: The Power of Women at Work. CEO and co-founder of the online financial advisory platform Ellevest, Krawcheck is one of the most-read influencers on LinkedIn. She has been profiled as one of Fast Company’s “Most Creative People” in business, as well as in The Wall Street Journal, Fortune and Forbes, among others. Moderating the session is Mary Pilon, award-winning journalist and author of The Monopolists and The Kevin Show.
REAL Conversation: The Next Chapter
After a successful 35-plus years advancing AT&T, an unsolicited call and meeting led Cynthia Marshall into a new chapter of her career: CEO of the Dallas Mavericks. Marshall’s numerous accolades include being listed among Black Enterprise magazine’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Corporate America” in 2015 and 2017 and Ebony magazine’s 2016 “Power 100.” Moderated by Kathleen Francis, WISE national board chair and president, this interactive session will dive into Marshall’s leadership, passion for contributing to the community and new role ahead of her.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from Krawcheck and Marshall along with other experts and influential leaders, including WISE Women of the Year honorees. Look for upcoming announcements with additional speakers and session details.
